Piggies, Cats and Dogs....

Just over three weeks ago, my pig, Omelette gave birth to three beautiful baby girls. they immediately found new homes... So at 3 weeks (weaning time) I pulled them from her (Its also been very cold out, so better they be inside where warm than outside freezing!) So, three piglets inside my house, with my 6 dogs, 3 cats and 4 rats... I'm crazy, I know! That day they mostly stayed in the carrier that I brought them inside with...  Yesterday, after 24 hours they were exploring the entire room we have them confined to... the room we are in the most as it gets them used to people more... I would lay on the floor and pet them, the two bigger girls (A heavily spotted and a black) would let me no problem, I Could rub their bellies, and they would fall over with enjoyment. The smaller of the three, a lightly marked, she was much more shy and timid... She is coming along slowly...  The small dogs, Pavi, a Xoloitsquintli, and Reba, a Chinese Crested, come in the room and get the pigs use to having dogs around, the pigs really enjoy chasing the dogs, its quite cute. Our three cats also come in, they don't mind the pigs at all... which is great.
Now, while on the topic of my dogs and cats... One of our cats is a Sphynx, he is a hairless cat, about 6, maybe 7 years old now... we adopted him nearly 4 years ago, from someone who had to get rid of him for reasons unknown to us at the time... Those reasons, he won't use a litter box... As to this day, he still doesn't.... We believe he does it because he hates sharing the boxes with other cats... we have two others that WILL use a litter box. we have between 4-5 boxes set up for them... and he wont use them at all...  Our small dogs will also, just randomly use the bathroom anywhere anytime... they don't ask to go outside, they won't whine or anything... just go... Yep, so that being said...
Today is day two <Tuesday> the pigs are inside... and all three using the litterbox as if they had always been using it... I can't be more proud of how amazing piglets are... I love them. They make me laugh all the time as well... Also, the lightly spotted has a multi colored eye, yes EYE, it is half brown half blue, while her other eye, brown...  pigs are great. I don't suggest them as pets in cities, they do love to dig and pull up flooring. ha ha ha. But, if you have a nice country home, they are incredible.

part2

I've been thinking for a while now, and I think I might write some children's stories... About animals of course...  Being as I have a lot of animal experience, being around all different sorts; dogs, cats, rats, chickens, ducks, geese, emus, horses, goats, donkey, alpaca, turkeys, peafowl, and even a porcupine... plus my previous experiences with other animals, lizards, turtles... Im sure I could create an interesting world of fun stories, crazy characters and little adventures... I wish, however, I had more artistic talents in order to draw cartoons that go with my stories... I have my first one all thought out already... I've only said this out loud to one person, so I thought this way... I could say it and not really have any weird responses. I know my writing is not the best, but if its just something small, I'm sure it would work out nicely...
My mom has a client, she is a published writer, and maybe I can get some tips... Fingers crossed.

part1

I used to blog often, back when MySpace was the "in thing", now that there is Facebook, and people who I'd prefer not knowing my entire life, I hadn't really bothered... I was sent to a blog, to keep updates on my friend,  so I blame this on her...
Things in the Puzzled house have had their ups and downs... A lot, lately, have been basically finances. Of course everyone has money trouble... We live on the highway, no buses to take us places, cabs cost a fortune to get anywhere, and, I have no licence. So,  that being said, I don't work. My boyfriend, Darcy, he works, he has a great job, makes great money. He has no hours... He has a lone to pay off... We have a billion animals to feed, then there is the necessities of living, bills, groceries, insurance, gas for the car, etc. I wish there was a way I could help out. Every time I have an idea, people, mostly my mom and Darcy, shut it down... I need something I can do from home...
We have a farm, have to clear some more land before we can get it going the way I would like, and for that, again, we need money... But we have our animals... The farm gives us babies, we've had piglets, ducklings, chicks, and a baby goat, though, when we do sell them, the money goes to stuff like; paying for other animals that we bought and owe for... We do live pay check to pay check, but we are able to afford it, we don't go out to dinners, order take out or treat ourselves like we used to, but we are doing alright, I think.
I've had some friends comment on how my animals come first, and that they think we can't afford to care for ourselves. The same people who rag on me for having too many animals, and 'no spare money', are the same people who tell me they are in the same boat. Their pets cost money at the vets recently, and they have no money to spare, so they go out and get more pets... I've never once said, we can not afford it...  I guess I just have some really shitty friends for them to talk to me that way... And, the fact we do have some 'exotic' animals, which is none of their business either, but telling us that we have put ourselves <and dogs> in danger, and this animal should live in the wild, not with humans...  Sadly, these people I feel the need to block from a lot of my current things on Facebook due to their negative comments making me feel bad about myself...
As life goes on, there are always those good things that do make you perk up and feel great about what you do. Again, with the farm, I do get visitors who come to see our animals, play with the pigs and piglets, see Emus run the fences, pet the goats and hear the sounds of an African Porcupine... Nothing is better than seeing the smiles that it does bring, and knowing I've made someones day a little bit better.
In the last two days, I've had two families visit, both that I know personally. Of course these people came because on Sunday we were blessed with the birth of three piglets, and who doesn't love piglets? But seeing children, at such a young age, enjoy and respect animals, that is what makes me smile the most.
I guess I could end there, man, my life is pretty boring... I have tons more to say, but will wait for another day...
